Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-11-01
This policy explains how Hostmetry (“Hostmetry”, “we”) handles personal data in connection with hostmetry.com. Hostmetry is currently in development. This website has no forms, accounts or sign-ups and does not ask you for any personal data.
Who is responsible
The controller of your personal data is Hostmetry. For any privacy question or request, contact privacy@hostmetry.com.
Visiting this website
We do not store IP addresses or browser identifiers of visitors, set no cookies and use no advertising or cross-site tracking. Fonts are served from our own domain. Our hosting provider Cloudflare processes connection data, such as IP addresses, to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. If enabled, Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views without cookies and without identifying individual visitors.
When you email us
- Data: your email address, name if you give it, and the content of your message — for example, the networks in an opt-out request.
- Purpose: to answer you and to handle abuse reports, opt-out requests and security disclosures.
- Legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and operating the scanner responsibly.
- Retention: opt-out requests for as long as the exclusion applies; other correspondence for up to 24 months.
Mail to our addresses is received through Cloudflare Email Routing and forwarded to the mailbox of the people who operate Hostmetry.
Internet scan data
Once scanning starts, Hostmetry will collect information that internet-facing systems make publicly available — IP addresses, open ports, service banners and certificates. Some of this, such as an IP address or a name in a certificate, may relate to an identifiable person. We process it based on our legitimate interest in security research and helping network owners protect their systems. Anyone can object by opting out or by writing to privacy@hostmetry.com. This section will be expanded before the platform launches.

Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, and to restrict or object to processing. Write to privacy@hostmetry.com and we will reply within 30 days. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Changes
We will update this policy before launching any feature that collects personal data, such as accounts or a mailing list.
